QA Test Engineer
About the role:
This is an amazing opportunity to join our rapidly growing team as a QA Test Engineer at Oxford Medical Simulation. You will be reporting directly to our Head of QA and be responsible for ensuring and maintaining the high technical standards of our award-winning clinical VR simulation ecosystem, used by learners all over the world.
Because of you, OMS is delivering more training, more quickly, to those that need it in healthcare and healthcare education globally.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with product and engineering to fully understand intention/scope of development and create clear acceptance or test criteria.
Write and manage test suites that can be run efficiently by yourself and other members of the team.
Represent best practice for other testers or team members in your bug reporting and process, and support other team members to achieve similar standards.
Use data and objective assessments to provide status updates/risk reports the wider team
Test simulations and wider functionality for defects
Work with your fellow QA Test Engineers and squad leads to plan and implement QA activity throughout the development cycle.

Essential Skills:
A good degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, maths, games, engineering or another related subject, or at least 1-2 years’ QA testing experience
Experience working within the gaming industry
Excellent communication skills
Ability to write clear and concise bug reports
Attention to detail
Good problem solving skills
A great team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all disciplines
A desire to constantly improve and develop new skills
Bonus Points:
Some QA Test experience
Experience with bug tracking and regression testing
Experience in Unity
Experience using Perforce
Some coding experience (C#, C++, python etc.)
Familiarity with scripting automated tests
Experience in QA for web applications (selenium etc.)
